Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children's Fund - Donation

Mark from CKDCK presented a cheque for £1000 to NLFB today to provide financial support towards the Citizens Advice worker who is present at each session at Egremont Foodbank Centre. This vital service can only continue to be delivered through such generous contributions for which we are very grateful. Usage at Egremont has risen dramatically over the last year (an increase of more than 50%) such that in the past 12 months over 600 people were fed at a time of crisis; of these 200 were children. The presence of an advice worker allows an immediate response and reduces the need to travel to Whitehaven for those who cannot afford the travel costs.
